Morning Coffee talk

As I sit here this morning, listening to the fish tank water splash loudly due to it’s need of a water change, I conduct my regular business and start to think to myself that the book I have started reading puts some things in perspective for me. But the biggest thing that I have to come to terms with or understand is that I have thought too much about what other people think. I don’t know why I have cared, I never did before, but it seems these last few years something changed and I feel as though I have to blame that on my law enforcement career.

You see when one joins the law enforcement community, all eyes are on you ALL the time, no matter if you are on or off duty. It really does seem that you are always going to be scrutinized for your next move, even if it’s the correct move. I believe this had placed a fear in me that was never there before. A fear of someone judging me for my next move. That thought is coming to an end and I have realized that, THAT is what is holding me back from moving forward with MY dreams and MY plans.

I have read RDPD completely through, I am Still working on RGPG and I am somewhere around chapter 5. The biggest thing so far that hit me was when she realized she cared too much about what others thought of her and was basically getting in her own way of making the money and life that she wanted.

Last night as me and my wife were lying in bed, I am hit with the power to all of a sudden make a post out to my Facebook page to let all of my friends know that if they did not care to support my business, dreams, and repost or share my products or pages, then they could unfriend me and move on about their lives. If they didn’t want to see it then they could keep scrolling by it, but trust and believe I see who shares and supports, and those will be the ones that will be recognized when I make it to the top. Do you ever feel that way? Like you have ideas and plans and dreams and it seems that fear gets in the way?

I have that same fear and I feel like even the multi millionaires and business folks all have that fear. The difference between you (and me) and them is that they put that fear to the back and dove in head first regardless of what anyone thought. That’s why that post last night I felt was so important. That post was a step forward in letting go of those thoughts and moving forward into pushing my brand and my store out into the real world.

Moving into my next train of thought which plays off the title and ties hand in hand with what I have written above and the next step in my journey.

I will tell you that I have learned a lot about business and continue to learn each and every day, mostly from my current position managing the family business, but to go out there and apply it seems pretty scary. One of the most repetitive lines that I hear almost daily is…. ” Scared money don’t make no money”.

Let that sink in for a minute, scared money don’t make no money… Repeat it, say it out loud, write it down every day… Scared money don’t make no money. Now I know what you are thinking, that phrase sounds like I’m speaking “honkey”, well I am from the south so a lot of phrases sound like that. Comment and let me know what that means to you. I would like to hear everyone’s definition.

If there was ever a time to move into working from home and working doing things you love then NOW is the time to do it. Don’t wait. The more you wait the longer it will be before you reach your goal. That’s why I have decided I will not wait any longer and I will put everything into the businesses that I want to work for me while I sleep so that I am making a passive, residual income. If you are afraid to go out and get what it is you want then you will never get it, that’s the truth of it and that’s what I am learning. So I make a deal with you, YOU start working towards your goals and I will not stop working towards mine. TOGETHER we can do this! TOGETHER we can make our money work for us, while we sleep!
